Silicon Interfaces, a Mumbai based software services company, has signed a turnkey services project contract with Microsoft Corporation. The development work for the turnkey project services is to be done in SEEPZ, Mumbai. There will be more than $150 million worth of turnkey project services within Microsoft in the next two years and Silicon Interfaces is working with Microsoft in implementing a majority of them.

Silicon Interfaces undertakes onsite contract consulting and offsite project development services. The company has been operating since February 1990, marketing primarily in USA and Europe. The development centers are in Mumbai. The company offers solutions in Web applications and application specific product development for sites and exchanges in B2C and B2B areas using Microsoft, Sun, Oracle and IBM technologies as well as Client-Server programming on NT and Unix. Silicon Interfaces also offers VLSI Design Services.

Microsoft has been entrusting Silicon Interfaces to develop software for more than three years. Silicon has in the process evolved from an on-site project service to a turnkey project service provider. The company has done multiple projects for Microsoft on various Microsoft sites and exchanges, like msn.com, microsoft.com, zone.com, msmedia.com, hotmail.com, msdn and on Microsoft's corporate intranets and extranets.

Some of the clients of Silicon Interfaces include reputed names like Microsoft Corporation, Intel Corporation, Hewlett-Packard, Texas Instruments, Philips Semiconductor, Kongsberg Norcontrol, RWTUV, American Bureau of Shipping, IBM and Cisco, amongst others.

The firm has developed software in diverse areas like Virtual CAD for Shipbuilding, Trajectory Positioning System, Tax Accounting System, Microsoft Word Enabling, Web Advertisement Enabling, Network Device Test for Software and Gigabit Ethernet Controllers, Network Switches, LAN Packet Analyzer and Ethernet Network Switches.
